Cancer Education
Hui Mālama Ola Nā ‘Ōiwi is a resource to Native Hawaiians and their families who are challenged by cancer. From oncology referrals to insurance issues, our certified Cancer Patient Navigators can provide the most current information available to help clients make informed decisions concerning all aspects of their cancer care.
We provide Cancer Education and Prevention for all types of Cancer. We do this through workshops in our communities, homes, schools and health fairs. We also provide one on one services that includes case management; tobacco cessation; referrals; and financial assistance (when funding is available). We serve as a resource to Native Hawaiians and their `Ohana who are challenged by cancer. All services are provided in a culturally sensitive approach.
